 In yet another difficult-to-understand ruling by the OLCC, Tony Starlight’s is now allowing minors on Wednesday nights.  Apparently this is contradictory to the sign out front that the OLCC requires they post, saying that minors are allowed every day.  You can read about it at Tony Starlight’s website.  While you’re there, read Tony’s article on cover charges - it’s an eloquent and insightful look into why we shouldn’t be complaining about paying to hear music.

The OLCC will be voting on April 16 or 17th regarding rules that determine when and where minors can hear music.

I received an e-mail the other day from Pam Jones, who is in Ethiopia visiting her daughter who works at the US embassy there.  Apparently, April is "jazz appreciation month" in Ethiopia and a radio station in Addis Ababa is looking for donated jazz recordings to play. If you send your CD to Pam by April 1st, she will forward it to the Ethiopian radio station.  Send CDs to:
