Ben Darwish’s Trio will be playing a reunion show at Zaytoon this Friday, with original members Zach Wallmark and Drew Shoals. This iteration of the trio recorded the BDT debut album, “Industrial Hero,” released last year on Diatic Records.

Zaytoon is located at 2236 NE Alberta. 9 PM with a $5 cover.

Drummer Drew Shoals is releasing his debut CD, “The Greatest Haven’t Been Born Yet” (Diatic Records) on Saturday, December 22nd. The release show will feature all of the musicians from the CD, including Damian Erskine, Ben Darwish, John Nastos, Dan Duval, Nick Sweet, and Jeff Picker. Also appearing will be Chris Mosley with his quartet, as well as original artwork by Pyar Anderson, Courtney Erskine, and Emmitt Pollard. The party starts at 8 PM at Design Counsel (1020 NW Lovejoy).

Head down to Zaytoon’s on Alberta this Friday to catch the Drew Shoals Collective, featuring Tim Willcox on tenor, Dan Duval on guitar, and Bill Athens on bass. Sets at 9 and 10:30, $5 cover.

John Nastos and E4 will be at Jimmy Mak’s on Monday, July 23rd, playing their unique brand of electric jazz and funk. The band features Clay Giberson on keyboards, Drew Shoals on drums, and Damian Erskine on bass. This Friday (7/6) at Jimmy Mak’s, Chris Mosley will release his newest album on Diatic Records. The CD features Mosley on guitar, Tim Wilcox on saxophone, Bill Athens on bass, and Randy Rollofson on drums. Their quartet will play the first set, starting at 8 PM. Minors are welcome for this set.

During the second set, Ben Darwish will lead a quartet featuring Drew Shoals on drums, John Nastos on saxohpone, and Eric Gruber on bass.
