Brandy Kayzakian-Rowe is an extremely talented photographer/painter that moved to Portland a couple of years ago. Before her move, she spent a number of years documenting the Delta Blues scene, which led to her work being featured at the Delta Blues Museum, on album covers, and many other situations.
Now that she’s in Portland, she’s focusing on the jazz scene, photographing musicians in all sorts of settings - performing, teaching, recording, etc. Recently, she’s been focusing on Thara Memory, photographing the Mel Brown Septet (on the night of Memory’s return), the Superband, and the Pacific Crest jazz ensemble.
Some of her work will soon be featured in the JazzPDX.org gallery page, but for now, you can find her work on her website and her Flickr page.
